Hyperparameter optimization of machine learning algorithms on supercomputing clusters
Ιn τhis talk, we presented a hyperparameter tuning algorithm implemented for exploiting massive multithreading on supercomputing clusters. We explained the parallelization approach, utilizing XGBoost and PyTorch frameworks. The talk addresses computational constraints, introduces a fast cross-validation algorithm, and illustrates how multiprocessing and powerful CPUs can enhance the efficiency of hyperparameter optimization. It also highlights how scaling up these processes leads to a decrease in the time required for tuning.
